Parking in Caversham is pretty easy - and that's a real bonus these days, not least because according to these findings (Aug 2010), Reading is the fourth most expensive place to park in the UK.

There's a car park off Chester Street, but that's often full (and there's an increasingly heavy atmosphere there now that it operates a charging system).

However, salvation is at hand because there's another, large and free, at the back of St Martin's Precinct / Waitrose and M&S. Access it through 'Archway Road' as marked on Google Maps.

For on-street parking the options are limited by lots of residents permits, but that's probably fair enough - residents have to park somewhere! And at least we don't have the deliberately confusing street parking signs that central Reading has - a now well documented ruse to con people into parking illegally so they get fined, that the Council keeps on keeping on with.
